What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device (computer, tablet, phone) when you visit a website, and read again on your subsequent visits. It can be used to remember preferences, secure a session or, in other contexts, track browsing for statistical or advertising purposes.

Our approach

https://dkl.dev uses no analytics tool (no Google Analytics or equivalent), no advertising or retargeting cookie, and no social network tracker.

The only cookies set are strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested. As such, they are exempt from consent under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL guidelines, which is why no consent banner is displayed.

Strictly necessary cookies used

NEXT_LOCALE

First-party cookie set by the website to remember the active display language — the one you selected or, failing that, the one derived from your browser preferences — and show you the matching version on your next visits. It only contains the language code (“fr” or “en”), and no identification or browsing data. Retention: twelve months.

What we do not use

As at the last update of this policy, the website sets no:

• analytics or audience measurement cookie;
• advertising, retargeting or personalisation cookie;
• social network pixel, share button or widget;
• cookie set by a third-party partner without your knowledge.

Connection logs

Separately from cookies, our hosting provider records technical connection logs (IP address, date and time of the request, page visited) that are necessary to operate and secure the website. These logs are not cookies and serve no advertising purpose; their processing is described in the Privacy policy.

Managing cookies

You can configure your browser at any time to block or delete the cookies set by the website. The steps vary from one browser to another and are described in its help menu or privacy settings.

Blocking the language cookie does not prevent you from browsing the website: the language is then determined on each visit from your browser preferences, or the French version is displayed by default.

Changes to this policy

Should an analytics tool or a third-party tracker be added to the website, this policy would be updated and, where the regulation requires it, a consent mechanism would be put in place beforehand.
